I love goal setting, and especially love setting goals for the year. I don’t like to call them resolutions because you can’t measure them and hold yourself accountable.
2018 goals for me are about upping my running game and I am excited. I also love printables for my planner and ways to see my goals and stick with them. This year I have decided that I want to run 520 miles, which is 10 miles per week on average. This seems super reasonable, and may grow. This is my first full year running and didn’t want to set myself up to fail. My second goal is to have a sub 3 hour 1/2 marathon, which would be 13 minutes faster than what I ran in October. My final goal is to have at least 1 race per month from April until October, this one is trickier but I can do it!
So I have set my goals, what do I do to hold myself accountable. Well for me I need to see them, so I made a cute printable to hang in my office and at home. At the bottom of the page, you will find both the 2018 Goals page and Mile Tracker to download.
The next step for me was deciding how to track my miles. I know that I will use the goal setting in Garmin Connect, but again I am a super visual person and like to the see the goal “fill up.” So I made another cute printable. This one will get filled up as the year goes. So by the end of the year it will be so colorful and a fun way to commemorate the year’s goal completion.
I know there are others that love to goal set and play along. The printable below for the miles log has 520 circles, so follow along in 2018 to see where you end up! All you have to do is click the Download Now and you can save the image to add your own goals and count those miles. Make sure to post your goals to social media and tag Run Katy Run!!
